Reunion 1999, Saturday p.m.

To really understand this performance, you have to imagine Gayla, Bob, and Raymond all standing on chairs in the big dining room, with Bob and Raymond trying desperately to keep up the rap beat, and with the rest of the class trying to chant “ch-ch-boom” at Gayla’s direction. It was a. . . memorable performance!

The Reunion Evolution Rap
by Gayla Foster

When we graduated
In nineteen sixty-four,
We partied all night and
We knew there’d be more.

Ch-ch-boom. . .

And then we came together
In seventy-nine;
We all looked good
And careers were going fine.

Ch-ch-boom. . .

In nineteen eighty-four
We began to see
Things weren’t as good
As they used to be.

Ch-ch-boom. . .

She’s skinny,
She’s fat,
He’s bald,
He’s a RAT!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

In nineteen eighty-nine
We danced at that one.
The music was great
And we all had fun.

Ch-ch-boom. . .

Burrus got in trouble
As he carried Annie off
The stage as she spoke
Cuz her speech was too long!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

But Burtschi and Ann
Really got him back:
They picked up both ends
And lugged him like a sack!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

In nineteen ninety-four
It was really quite sad.
We found we’d lost friends
That we all have had.

Ch-ch-boom. . .

And now here we are
In nineteen ninety-nine.
It’s a real small group,
But we’re havin’ a great time!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

We find it doesn’t matter
Where we’ve gone, what we’ve done.
We all can come together
And have a lot of fun!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

There are two great people
We have to thank.
Without their efforts
We would have. . . “sank.”

Ch-ch-boom. . .

Scrib, you’re a fine member
Of a technology age.
You created our address
On the “Pioneer Page.”

Ch-ch-boom. . .

We really want to thank you, Ann,
For all that you have done.
You make it possible
For us to have fun!

Ch-ch-boom. . .

So, let’s stand and shout
For two thousand four
When we come back together
And PARTY SOME MORE!
