Bio, 2009: Susan Maus Larsen

After graduation, I attended St. John's School of Nursing in Tulsa. In April 1967, just before graduation, I joined the Army Nurse Corps. Basic was in San Antonio, TX, and then on to 4 wonderful months at Fort Ord in Monterey, Calif. This was followed by 12 months in Viet Nam. I worked OR and Intensive Care/Recovery room, Transferred back to William Beaumont General Hospital and met my future husband.

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oct, 1969 and married Karl Larsen in El Paso in April, 1970. We left the military-both of us- and moved to Las Vegas, NV in Aug of 1970. Karl is an optometrist and has been in practice 40 years. We have 6 children, 2 boys & 4 girls and 7 grandchildren. Karl and friends started a theatre company 18 years ago and the kids and I have helped sell tickets, usher, and such. I continuted nursing until our oldest was born and was then fortunate enough to be a stay at home-PTA, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and all that stuff!!!! How wonderful.... In 1999, when our youngest was a senior, I went to work with Karl doing his insurance billing. I love spending so much time with him-as long as I get to pick the music! I love doing the gramma stuff and we have our Disneyland passes, life is good.

I can't come to the reunion, but will be in Stillwater the end of Oct for my mother's 90th. Have a wonderful time.
