Reunion 1999: The Botanical Gardens, Saturday, June 12, Saturday, June 12
For the early risers (okay, not so early—we met at 10:00) on Saturday morning, June 12, Ann Jay Berry led a tour first of the extensive gardens at her house and then at the Botanical Gardens and Arboretum, where she is a volunteer and tour guide. We got a wonderful introduction to the many parts of that beautiful site, from the “ROY Garden” (red, orange, yellow) to the “Junk Garden.” We all had a great time wandering about, chatting about old times, and absorbing some of Ann's enthusiasm for and joy in gardening, which were almost as impressive as the gardens themselves.
